LJ6S4N1mRUk ---Clean mod--- Fender type circuit, but there was a terrible high-end roll off, so removed. In addition treble cap was change to 3waySW, so that you can get the crystal clean sound like Line/Piezo. If you know, Groove Tubes Soul-o is alike. ---Clean Drive mod--- Default was pre=tone stack, post=gain stage circuity. But it means tone stack settings changes the result so much, and the there was no post filter, it resulted to a cheap drive sound. So I have bypassed the tone stack, and pre has been JCM800 220x, and added Marshall tone stack type post filter. This filter is 3waySW, and you can adjust. This means you can use this Clean-Drive, as a good crunch ch.

LANEY GH100, VH100の改造例です。 0:00 Default 0:29 Gain Boost (Drive=off) 1:12 Gain Boost + "JCM800" mod (Drive=off) ■Gain Boost GH100, VH100の実用性を高めるための、Drive=off時のゲインブーストに関しては、以下の動画を参照ください。 GH100; LJ6S4N1mRUk VH100; cc6mm49ADKo ■"JCM800" mod 今回は依頼から産まれたモードの紹介です。 歪み方をJCM800のようなやや荒い歪みに変えてくれないかとの事で、JCM800モードを検討しました。最終段のカソードフォロワー分離し増幅段にして、その手前にフルテンのTONE回路を入れるイメージです。4回路のスイッチが必要なので、2回路のリレーを2個使用しています。 中域控えめ、低域バースト、高音はジャキっとヌケる、良いサウンドに纏まっていると思います。 結果的に3way_SWの増設のみで、Default, Boost, Boost+JCM800、という3タイプの表現が可能となりました。GH100,VH100だけでなくほとんどのハイゲインアンプに搭載可能です。 LANEY GH100,VH100 modification example. ■Gain Boost Please see below, regarding to the gain boost without Drive=on. I've splitted the cathode follower stage to be 2x gain stages, then inserted ALL=MAX type tone circuit between them. What I used was 2xrelay for 4poles switching. Less mid, burst low, sparkle high...I think it's very good. Finally only 1x 3way_SW makes it possible to change 3modes; Default, Boost , Boost+JCM800. It can be installed to both GH100,VH100 or many high gain amps.

Marshall 2203の改造例を紹介します。 SPK=2x12 Tonker Guitar=Ibanez S7420FM (without high-pass cap) 0:00 demo (Everything except MASTER is around 12 O'c) 0:23 TREBLE 0:33 MID 0:43 BASS 0:57 PRESENCE 1:14 P.U.=rear half 1:21 P.U.=front 1:35 Gt volume=lowered 1:51 Gt volume=MAX ■改造 一般的な改造Marshallの回路手法を使わず、あえてより古いシンプルな回路手法を用いています。改造の方向性は以下です。 1.ハイゲイン化 真空管増設していません。基板はパターンカット無し。Cathode Followerを増幅段に変更しています。ゲインは5150以上ですが、工夫によりハム、発振無し。 2.ピッキング/P.U.の違い/ボリュームへの追従性、アタック強調 ハイゲインアンプには、追従性が悪い物も多いですね。ここは過度に気になる体質なので、今機では表現を失わないようにしています。また7弦にも対応しやすくしています。 3.低音が遅れない、速い ここに不満のある方も多いのでは？定数、パワーアンプをいじっています。 4.TONE回路で幅広く調整 癖が強かったり、トーン回路が使えない物も多いですね。または、改造Marshallの手法コピーのため、根本的な工夫がされてない。その場合、特定のノブ設定でなければ、良い音が得られにくい場合もあるため、そのさらに後の調整は難しい。今機では、トーン回路自体はFenderぽくしたうえで、全ノブ12時でベストに鳴るようトーン回路手前で音を追い込んでいます。結果、自分にとってのベストのサウンドに対して、さらにオーディオ的に調整しやすくなります。また、Bassが12時以降変化しないものも多いですが、今機では重低音が加速度的に増えるようにしています。 たかがiPhoneのマイクですが、だいたいの意味は伝わると思います。 アンプエンジニアのため、色んなアンプを弾き/所有/改造/設計していますが、完成度の高い状態だと思います。 エフェクターや、MASTER, RESONANCE, 線材や部品交換等の簡単な内容ではなく、こういったアンプ全体の改造に挑戦する方が増えることを祈ります。 他に、大幅に改造したMarshallとして参考になる動画があれば、ご紹介ください。 ---Modification--- I've avoided to follow the usual method like Soldano. Mod direction is below. 1.High-gain No pattern cut. No additional tube. Just changed the cathode follower to a gain stage. Some component value change. It has more gain than 5150 but no hum, no oscillation. 2.Responce priority I made it not to lose the attack, picking responce, P.U., volume difference. 3.Bass/sonic responce, Better sonic responce than ordinal high gain amps. Power stage value mod. 4.TONE circuit improvement I see many high-gain circuit just follows Soldano method, that I doubt not usefull. Because we must set the knob to get the best sound, then we cannot adjust the total charactor after that (only presence+SPK, cabinet). So I've changed the tone stack to be close to Fender, and modded the pre-tone to be best with all knob=12 O'c. It means I can adjust the total tonal charactor like an audio EQ. And Bass usually doesn't work so much over 12 O'c, but I modded it to get more low-end over 12 O'c. It's only a cheap iPhone mic, but you know what I mean. I'm an amplifier engineer, have been playing/having/modding/designing many amps, but this one is in good condition. Please tell me if you know another "fully modified" Marshall video.
