German Chancellor Angela Merkel held the annual meeting with representatives of global financial organisations including the IMF, WTO, World Bank, OECD and ILO in Berlin on Tuesday.

OECD Secretary-Genera Angel Gurria tweeted that the meeting is intended to connect national governments with financial organisations to better address 'pressing global challenges' and 'make multilateralism work for the people.'

A news briefing was set to take place after the meeting.
